Hi,
I would like to ask your advices and help on how to apply Brazilian passport for my baby.
Me and my husband are both foreigners with Permanent visas here at Brazil. I delivered baby here last Oct/16 and our baby acquired Brazilian citizenship by birth.
What are the requirements, where and how to apply for her passport.
Thanks in advance.

Btw, she will have a dual citizenship.

Policia Federal Passport Application

Please follow the link attached in this post.  Since you have mentioned that the baby is a duel national please note that he/she can only enter and exit Brazil on the Brazilian passport.  Also please note that within Brazil the baby will only be recognized as a Brazilian citizen.

If you have any questions please feel free to inbox me.

Hi,

Good day!
I found out thru websites that passport validity for babies and kids varies.
Since my baby is less than a year old- her passport validity is only a year.
Do you know how long is the processing for passport here?
I havent finish reading the websites that you gave, but I am worried if I apply now,
it will be a waste since we just plan to travel sept-oct 2018.
Thanks!

Rita

Hi Stanza,

My baby just turned 1 year old and since we will travel next year-- I am planning to apply by NOv/2017.
however- I have difficulty in understanding the website (omg).
Is there any agency you know that can help us but hope not much cost too.
we are staying here in Barueri, SP and there´s a Police Federal near our place, I tried to inquire there but they just direct me to website.

Thanks again.

Your reply is highly appreciated.
