Many European countries warned against all unnecessary travel to Egypt

I am asking expats only here, do you guys really feel threatened and unsafe in Egypt ?
Is it possible to walk downtown Cairo around 2:00 AM or beside Cornich El Nile ?
Are people are killing each other on the streets ?
Why all western countries united to warn against all unnecessary travel to Egypt ?
IS it because of terrorism ?

It is absolutely safe and all what you hear from the international and speocially the western media contradicts reality ! I have just moved to Cairo 4 months ago and I go out a lot and during different timings, the worst thing could happen is is flirting which is not a terrorist act and can be tolerated

I've never been to Egypt but i know people there, they claim it to be safe. In the Netherlands they say it's not safe. So my parents are not happy at all, because i will go to Egypt in april 2017. hehe
