Hi everyone,

Do you follow fashion trends in Bulgaria? Every country and every culture has its own dress code. As far as you are concerned, have you changed the way you dress?

Can one easily find fashion boutiques in Bulgaria? Are clothes expensive there? Or cheap?

What do Bulgarians usually wear or like to wear the most?

I find that most Bulgarians (especially the women) are too dressy for my taste. If anything, my personal style has gotten more relaxed since I moved here because I know I cannot possibly keep up with the girls who all have their hair and makeup done and are wearing high heels every day. ;) Most Bulgarians care very much about appearances and take the time to press their clothing and wear more fashionable pieces.

At the same time, because money for clothing can be tight, many Bulgarians choose to spend their money on a few articles of clothing (not tons of closets full). Also, second hand clothing is becoming more acceptable/popular. There are many online second hand stores popping up.

That being said, it is nice to know that if I want to dress up, I will not feel out of place. I also like that there are no rules regarding the amount of clothing... short skirts or skimpy tops are fine on most occasions.

I'll make my experience of fashion brief I know hard to believe I'm not big on fashion hey!? True sizing a little bit hard to fathom out, one poor shop owner was opening various sizes much bigger than I'd size myself that were tiny didn't help when she said I did not look like an xxl!!  :o
(probably because I'm not I thought!! !!)
Obviously the young skinny types fit the fashion much easier with skinny jeans, leather jackets putting budget's aside it is good to see people priding their own appearance.

Ha! I was looking for maternity leggings this winter. The only place I could find them was at a chinese store. The tag seriously said, "xxxxxxxxxxxL."

Don't care. If they fit, then sure, I'll be 10xL :)

Ha-ha well I can't see your legs from your picture, but just as I was told by the shop assistant I have to say that you don't look a size 10 xl!  :joking:

My ex used to cut the labels out if they said it was a size larger than she actually was. ;)
