Lets discuss.

In your point of view which is more convenient and flexible?

If you're married to a Malaysian already then I'd go for the LTSVP (they can add a work permit to it easily enough after six months or in my case I already had a work permit so they did so right away). The first LTSVP was for 3 or 6 months, next one for a year and my current LTSVP is good for 5 years. Thus for 5 years I can not worry about renewing either my work permit or visa.

Added - I wouldn't get married however just to get a LTSVP, I love living in Malaysia but the primary reason I'm living here is that I'm married to a Malaysian.

it may be beneficial to be under LTSVP but the process of obtaining the pass itself take ages. :)

The documentation is too many and tedious. My preference is an Employment Pass as the company will apply pass for me which is more easier.
