Hello everyone,

Has your life changed since you moved to Fiji? If so, in what way?

Tell us more about all the changes in your life regarding your family, job, or friends. What about your frame of mind? How would you define your mood?

Leisure activities improve our health and social interactions. How much time do you dedicate to leisure activities and networking nowadays?

Would you say that your standard of living has improved in Fiji? What income differences have you noticed?

On a scale of 0 to 10, tell us how much your expatriation to Fiji has transformed your life (0 = no change, 10 = dramatic change).

We look forward to hearing from you!

Priscilla

:) After living here nearly 5 years there a many changes in our life style.
While we were used to being able to flip a switch and have power for anything and
everything; it is not the case here.  Even with solar there are limitations and often
problems with batteries or inverters.  Water is another issue unless living in a town
or city that provides water.
More and more grocery items are being made available; making cooking meals we
are used to easier.  Where we live there is a paucity of restaurants and sometimes
very expensive.  We don't eat out often.
The humidity is an issue here and mildew can be problematic.  We are somewhat
accustomed to it now and fans are a huge help.  We also have a pool.  This makes
cooling off and getting exercise very pleasant and always available.
With difficulty in getting some items; it is necessary to adjust ones expectations
in terms of time and quality of products.  The indigenous life style is very relaxed
and the people live day by day with little planning for the future.
I have not covered all aspects of living here as an expat; it does take strength of
character to stay here on a permanent basis.
