Refer to what are the terms of resignation, as mentioned in your appointment letter.

So go by what has already been agreed between your employer and you.

There is nothing further to be discussed since the exact terms of your parting ways with your employer would be clearly mentioned, as mutually agreed prior to your accepting the employment offer.

Well, if there is no signed and formal employment contract between you and your employer, then it is a completely different ballgame altogether.

In the case of the latter, suffice to say, the employee would stand to lose more than the employer.

Thank you sumitran for your reply. In my case There is no formalities for resignation laid down in the contract. But I heard  they will cancel the visa once I  pay  the amount equal to the time period left (here 14 months left ) in the contract . But before opting  that option i just want to know if there are any laws in oman saying so . Also is there any option to know the price of oman visa ?

Surprising that your employment contract does not specify anything at all about resignation/termination ! Well, now it is up to the employer to decide what he would like to recover from you.

As per the Omani Labour Laws, an employer cannot recover his costs from the departing employee.

Sir now I enquired in detail . The document i signed was offer letter . And no one in the company signed the detailed contract . So what can I do now to get the contract . Then only i can know the resignation terms and conditions . Help please
