Do the maltese banks cash american checks? The check is from tax refunding,,,and if they do- how long does it take?

Hey Dyakata,

With regards to your US cheque, you can pay a foreign cheque into an account in your name whether that be HSBC Malta or BOV etc.

The length of time it takes for the funds to become available, varies but it can take anything upto 6 weeks and you will find that a fee will be applicable upon presenting the cheque to the bank.

Hope this helps,

Jamie
