Hello everyone,

What are the requirements for acquiring citizenship in Turkmenistan? For example, length of residence, language requirements, employment etc..

What formalities are involved in the process?

What is the policy on dual-citizenship in Turkmenistan? Do you have to give up your former nationality?

What are the advantages and benefits of acquiring Turkmen citizenship, in your opinion?

To the best of my knowledge, Turkmenistan does not offer a set procedure for citizenship. However you can stay there if you are doing some job with the permission of government. You will get visa for 6 months and it is renewed after expiry. You can also allowed visa if you marry a Turkmen. Cityzenship is given to only stateless persons by the President.
