hello all, like many who work in kuwait, im looking to spend a weekend in Dubai for the Gaelic Football tournament (march 3 - 5).

i have a residence in kuwait, job says "accountant", im told my visa at the airport would be around 160~190Dhm; i also heard someone say something about 40KD for a visa (480dhm).

Visas on arrival depend on what? nationality, profession, a mixture of both?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, im doing a tour of the Gulf countries, will bein qatar for this weekend, and Dubai the next.

Checked your profile, looks like you've got an American passport, yes?
Visa on arrival depends on your nationality as far as I'm aware.  I'm currently a resident in Dubai (American expat) but on the couple occasions I've come through on a visit visa, I've never had to pay anything, nor has any other US or EU passport holder that I know of. Just get in line at passport control, get stamped and you're though.

What about Arab nationalities...coz i wanna visit some of the other GCC for leisure purposes.

GCC Nationals or passport holders of the other 33 nationalities don't need visas to visit other GCC countries. All others do.

It depends on your nationality, But there's an easier way which is coming by booking on the emirates air lines which provides you with a free visa to access Dubai.
