Working in Saudi - How to settle family in UAE

Hi there. I am working in Saudi on a business visa. Looking to bring my family to the UAE so that they are near me and can see them every couple of weeks. I am not sure if there is a way to get a residence visa for the family in the UAE without me being a resident there? Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks

Fidel

Hi,

We have the same problem. Husband is planning to move to KSA, while me (wife) and kids would like to move to UAE. We lived in Dubai for 10 years and due to Covid situation 2 years ago we went back to our country. Hope you solved your problem with settling family in UAE while you work in Saudi? If so, do you have any advices and know procedure to do so?

Thanks

@FidelT

You can move your family here in UAE but they need to get work Visa here.

Your wife apply here Work visa and based on her visa your kids will get visa.

There are quite a few options depending on your budget:

1) Set up a company and have that company sponsor you & your family

2) Buy a property and get visas through that

3) Freelancer visa - relatively new and easy if you qualify for it

There are a few ways to obtain UAE residency:

  • Setup a business in the UAE
  • Get employed
  • Open a freelance permit in Dubai or other Emirates
  • Enroll in a college or university
  • Be a dependent (it can be a child or a retired parent of a resident)
  • Own property with a value over 1 mln AED
  • UAE Golden visa
  • UAE residency visa for retirees
