What are the chances of s pass holder getting a pr in Singapore

stevep1114

I would say pretty low at the moment. PR is pretty tough and S pass salary is not attractive to the Govt.

Wish i could be more encouraging but making it realistic.

So for a ep holder with about 8000sgd. My husband is planning to apply.

That isn't too bad. Other things they will look at is earning potential, nationality, education and also children. If it's just him and not you or if you have any children and not including them then it can be challenging.

If it was both of you and let's say you had a son, it would be much easier. A daughter no so much. I know it's harsh but from what I hear a son is more valuable as he will have to go to NS and that for them is valuable.

We do not have kids. He is applying for both of us. Plus what are the docs to be submitted. We are Indians. N I am not working. Begin a pr is easier to get jobs I suppose?

I'm sorry, I'm not a lawyer or consultant on this. Just sharing personal experience. There is a lot of documentation needed, birth certs, education certs, reference from employers, tax assessments etc. They will go through everything and that still doesn't ensure you get a PR.

As for a job, I'm on an EP and my wife works on an LOC. This works fine for us as we aren't tied to Singapore.

Just wanted to get an idea of the scenario for getting a pr. Thanks for your pointers
