Hi,

I'm 24 and plan on moving with my mother to the Philippines. I am her dependent as I do not have any income. We tried applying for the 13(A) visa, since employees at the SF Consulate had told us it was possible. Spoiler: It's not. So my mother and I thought well maybe we can just try to get on the Balikbayan Program, since all the articles I've seen doesn't have an age limit on "children".

But we're worried that may not work as well. So is there any way I can get a 1 year visa or PR in the Philippines WITHOUT getting married?

Hi. I dont think its possible to apply for 1yr visa. Foreign nationals who are admitted with an initial stay of thirty (30) days may apply for a visa waiver first, granting an additional stay of twenty nine (29) in the Philippines. Thereafter, you may apply for one (1) month, two (2) months or six (6) months extensions at least one week prior to the expiration of your valid stay. You can visit philippines immigration for more information.
