Hi everyone,

I've been on the hunt for rhassoul clay for a little while, but can't seem to be able to get my hands on any. Local beauty salons don't seem to have any knowledge about it, but I guess this is partially because I don't know what it's called in Arabic. My sister-in-law bought some in Cairo a few years ago, but has no idea which area or salon she found it in.

Any ideas? I know this is more a girl than guy thing, but any sort of guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing that rhassoul clay is like Moroccan clay (aka Moroccan bath) which I have tried before here, but years ago. They offer them famously at spas. Especially for Brides-to-be, but I really don't know where you could get if off the shelf. I would suggest looking up Organic Moroccan Beauty Products
(or منتجات الحمام المغربي) on souq.com or other classifieds.
Or better yet go to you nearest beauty salon (cwafer) and ask.

If it is morrocan soap, than you can find it to any stand with nefertari products, and even the morrocan loofah. Maybe some details about this clay may help in case it is not the one we are talking about?

Thank you pandabear and Wild - rhassoul clay is indeed a famous Moroccan clay.

Panda, I've had a look at souq.com, and I found a product, but I'm not entirely sure if it's the thing I'm looking for. Thank you for telling me what it is in Arabic, that'll make it so much easier when trying to explain what I want.

Wild, where can I find such nefertiti products? Is there a particular area I should be looking in?

Thanks again, ladies.

Wild

Nefertari it is an egyptian company for 100% natural products. The price is really good. You can find in any big mall as City Stars, Dandy Mall, etc. Usually you find the stand in the middle of the hallway (between the big shops) and is easy to be seen( have a lot of natural soaps, towels etc). The morrocan soap they have is really the good one. I advice you to use the morrocan loofah from them to, as the egyptian one is not the same thing.

The Londoner

Yes! I know the company you're talking about. I guess my overdue trip to City Stars will be sooner than later. Thank you very much, I'll keep you posted about how I get on.
