Moving to Malta

Post new topic

Brandnewday

Hi

My name is Carole and l am a new member.

I moved from the UK 9 years ago and have been living in the TRNC (Northern Cyprus) since then. I am on my own as my daughters are are both living in the UK. l am thinking of moving to Malta where is it more excess-able from the UK and the climate seems to be similar to here. Not sure about the cost of living?

Could anyone that has been living in Malta for some time give me their points of view and the general average cost of living etc and the pros and cons.

Many thanks in advance

Thank you!

I'm not a very good bean counter, but at a wild guess, I would say as a single, rent-paying adult with an 'average' lifestyle, and running a car, you would be ok with €1500pm. Don't quote me. :-)

The biggest difference in the cost of living is that the property rental prices are much higher here than in Cyprus.
If you ask 'Toon' on the Cyprus expat site, he lived here for many years and now lives in Cyprus so knows how things compare.
