Furnished Apartments

Hi,

Just wondering, do apartments for rent in Budapest normally come furnished? If not, how empty are they - would they still have fridge , washing machine , stove etc or is it completely empty?

How much cheaper are apartments that are unfurnished?

Usually empty but can come with a few things the previous occupants were too lazy to remove or incapable of disposing of.

As for price difference - couldn't say.  But it's easy enough to furnish a place using online auctions - e.g. Vatera (but needs HU language skills).   The price difference wouldn't be that much - second hand washer costs 30-40K HUF, cooker/stove (electric) 40-60K HUF, etc.  So all in one could furnish easily a 1 bed place for under 300K HUF (less than 1000 EUR).

I searched for apartments in Budapest on the largest real estate site, there are ~11k, when I filter for furnished, I get 6000 results.

Short term vs Long term will make a difference.  If with American kitchen, then with all the appliances.
