Registering a birth in the United Arab Emirates

Post new topic

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

Have you had to or are you going to register a birth in the United Arab Emirates? What was the experience like?

Who is required to register the birth, and where? Can it be either the mother or father?

What documents are usually required in the United Arab Emirates?

How long does the process to register a birth take? Are there any time limits in which the registration must be completed?

Did you register the birth with your home country and how did that process compare? Will your child be able to have dual nationality?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I'm really sorry but seriously.

You could have done a little bit of research on the subject. Don't message us in the hopes of small talk.

One) Foreigners cannot register the birth of their child in UAE. Their child does not automatically get citizenship. You could have found this out with a simple Google search. Two) Your child will take on one of the nationalities of the parents or possibly both.

Please don't waste our time with trivial questions just to drum up additional media on your site.  when you should know the answers. In fact rather provide the info for future expats.

It is perfectly easy and online procedure.and it is done by hospital staff where baby is delivered.Lateron it is registered by EID authority.

i want to know also .

Don't know it before you deliver a baby. Like birth of baby registration is also automatically started and done. There are other things to worry that are making passport and visa. And vaccination at family centers.
