O received permanent residents today. Was told to come back in 3 months to receive    I.D card. Why does it take so long to get I.D. Card??

I don't know but I'm surprised they said 3 months. I received my permanent residency earlier this year and they told me to check back in 40-50 days. I called them about 35 days later just to check and my card was already there waiting for me.

We will probably  check back before . Was told to come back in December

It usually comes in about a month, it has to be printed in Brasilia, just be patient....don't really need it unless you planning on working now, the protocol paper is sufficient for most things
