Yes you do need a visa. Google search will find out details.
There is an Iranian Embassy in Islamabad and Consulates in Lahore and Karachi.

its very likely they grant this visa for pakistani citizen very easily , theres a good diplomatic relationship between goverments .

Hello Liz,

There is an Iranian council general in Clifton Karachi where they offer visa service to Pakistanis intending to travel to Iran.

Majority of visitors belong to a minority religious sect who intend to visit holy places, you may apply for normal visitor's or tourist visa.

best bet will be to call them.
