Are you living in Argentina? We need you to share your experience of the local customs :)

Is it difficult to adjust to the local customs in Argentina?

Could you please share with us a list of the do's and don't's in Argentina?

Thanks!

Do kiss on the cheek as a greeting

Do make an effort to speak the language

Do try the beef and Malbec - spectacular!

Don't wander around La boca late at night

Don't tip taxis - not customary here

Don't tip 20% in restaurants - 10% is more than enough

If you are moving to Argentina:

1) Do bring a good chef's knife.

2) Do bring a good stock pot and frying pan.

3) Do bring your own tampons (unless you like ob, 'cause that's all they got).

4) Don't pack tons of fancy clothes.  (I know, everyone always writes that Argentina is so formal, but in general, I get by with jeans and t-shirts most of the time and I blend right in with everyone else.)

5) Do buy a Kindle.  (English language books are expensive and hard to find.  With a Kindle, you download them to your computer from Amazon and read away!)

6) Do bring a frisbee--you won't find them here!
