Traffic in Egypt

Post new topic

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

Which city or area do you live in in Egypt, and how do you find the traffic?

How long does it take to commute to work or run errands?

Is there a rush hour in your city? What times of the day would you recommend people to avoid driving if they can?

Are there any ways to avoid spending too much time in traffic in Egypt?

What is parking availability and cost like?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

If we talk about Cairo, it's one of the most crowded cities. Traffic is horrible most of the day... and night  :sosad: . Best time to go anywhere are Friday mornings from 9 am till 2 pm. Parking is also a huge problem so you always have to make sure you are going somewhere where you can find parking spots or garages. Otherwise it's better to take a taxi or uber or the metro. I waste a lot of time just to park even if the traffic was good :(

I disagree Tareq. Every country has its goods and bads. I know that Egypt is full of challenges and problems. But there are so many things that you can appreciate here as well. Have a good day :)
