Belgian residence permit

Can somebody answer my question please. I am from India and have received, recently, a residence permit valid for 5 years. I now come to know that I don't need to have a workpermit to work in Belgium anymore. Am I permitted to work in other european countries (eg. EEA countries) as well without a workpermit?

No, the requirement to have work permit is waived if you are a citizen of a EEA country, and this excludes the last 2 newly joined - Romania and Bulgaria. You can apply for Belgium citizenship and once you get it, then it means that you can work in any other EU country without the need to have a work permit. I hope this helps.
