Sending packages from USA to Indonesia

Post new topic

:) Has any had experiences with lost or stolen package sent to Indonesia?  What is the best way to send a package and ensure it's arrival?   I need to send a few packages to someone in Bandung and Yogyakarta and want to know the best and safest way to send them.

Use a international recognised company I’ve used DHL for parcels and documents as they are local to me here in batam and have a live tracking system be careful with import taxes, depending what it is your sending the recipient could end up with a bill much much more than the value of the package
As an example ( but worth checking for updates) from the UK I can receiveanything (legal of course) £99 gbp or less with no import duty that’s about usd$ 135
I know trainers (gym shoes) carry a minimum of 50% import duty if the total value of the parcel exceeds gbp£99

I know of a few people have had issues with electrical goods no matter who they have used for delivering

Thanks Gwmeath,

I am sending just everyday products that I like and can't get in Yogyakarta.  So the package should not be worth more then $135.00 your saying.  What can the weight be or whatever measurement is used.  How do I find out.  I don't want the the person I am sending it to, to pay anything.  Do I look online or what?

Yes look on line I know DHL offer guidance on weight and dimensions etc and also the cost, a lot depends on the weight and how quick you want this
