Hello all,

I recently got married and moved to Kuala Lumpur (My husband has been here for almost two years now, in an Indian company). I've an MBA in Marketing, and worked in KPMG India for almost 3 years in corporate communications.

I had a wide range of responsibilities and interacted with top leadership teams on a regular basis and I am pretty confident in the work that I do.

The issue

I have applied to at least 30 companies through jobstreet, indeed and monster and have received no feedback at all. I have a dependent pass and understand the difficulty in getting a job but I hear that it isn't impossible.

Please let me know what i can do to get ahead and find a job! I am Indian so teaching is still not an option as India is not a native English speaking country. I am fluent in English nonetheless, any advice is appreciated.

Gravitas

Try http://eps.applyourjobs.com/default.aspx and Robert Walters  that sometimes is able to put forward foreign candidates for jobs.

If you are successful you will have to give up your DP and get an EP (new rule). Same rules apply, the hiring company could not find local talent (Malaysian) to fill the vacancy.

I  have heard the Global Indian International School in Brickfields may have positions for unqualified teachers.

Be prepared to volunteer or take low-paid jobs in order for your talents to be noticed and a job offer may follow. https://www.internsheeps.com/

Thank you. Appreciate your advice, I will follow through on them.

Expatind

You need to connect people via linkedin in your profession, I believe you from corporate communications so company may prefer local who knows local language.

But keep trying you don't know when your luck is with you..best of luck
