Additional importation of used car documentation requirements

A new requirement for used vehicles brought into Malta from EU countries is being introduced by Transport Malta.

As from April 1, an Odometer Certificate of Authenticity will have to be presented at registration stage. For more detailsd see:

Thanks Hammersfan, ;)have added to our 'to do' list - we are handling our move to Malta slowly, this type of information is appreciated.

Also, JEVIC UK stated in an email reply that the booking form (available from the above website)...

"must be completed in full and returned to us ( info@jevic.co.uk  ), along with scanned copies of the  current V5 log book and MOT certificate (where applicable), alternatively you can fax us the documents (01483 331 701 or  01483 273 250 )

Payment is requested once all the documents have been received by the office and the vehicle(s) booked in. FULL payment MUST be received before any verification takes place. We will send you an invoice by e-mail, or by fax (whichever is preferred) to let you know that your application has been processed and we are ready to accept payment. The cost is £28.50 + vat (£34.20 total) per vehicle.

Payment can be made directly to us by card (no charge for debit cards but credit cards will incur a small charge (2.5%), by cheque (made payable to Jevic UK Ltd.) or directly into our bank account. Please use your invoice number, found in the top right hand corner of your invoice, as reference when making payment

The certificate will be posted 2-3 days after the verification to a UK address with the original invoice."


Update:

No physical inspection is necessary, it is a documentation and database verification.

Once payment is received the certificate is printed and posted the same day
