Hi.
I'm from Nigeria working in Oman for 8months but want to go back to my country. How possible would that be?

If you do not wish to continue working, then, by all means, you should be allowed to discontinue working. But it is easier said than done. And usually not that easy or simple, especially in the middle of an ongoing contract.

Since your case might require arbitration, it is better that you make the first move. Report any irregularity you might face, with the Ministry of Manpower.

If you feel that the reason for your wanting to leave is something more serious (like physical or mental abuse), then you must report the same to your nearest ROP, so you can ensure your safety and security.
