Long term Student Visa applied in December

Hello,

I applied for Long term Student Visa at VFS Delhi on December 13. From first day it's showing that they have send my application to Belgium for further assessment. Initially, there was "no results found" on immigration office website for my application until January 23.

Generally, how long does it take to answer this kind of application ( I think dependent visa application takes longer?). Should I ask university to help me get visa faster?

It takes as long as it takes, but the university won't be able to help sadly.
