Hello,

We invite you to share some information regarding leisure activities that are free or low-cost in Mozambique. This information will give future expats (or even current expats) an idea regarding some of leisure activities that they might not be aware of.

Is there a way to find out about free or low-cost fun activities in Mozambique, such as a specific app, or a newsletter, or magazine, tourism board, etc.? How do you find out where events are organised?

What are the most common free leisure activities in Mozambique?
Which free activities do you recommend for children, for teenagers, for adults, and for seniors?

Are there certain days where access to paid activities are offered at a lower price or even for free, such as museum entry, or exhibitions, or a theme park, etc.?

How do you maximise your leisure activities in the most cost-effective manner?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Priscilla

Every day in Mozambique for children on a holiday, every day has an endless beach sports and swimming pool; To find snorkeling with dolphins and rock pool, cruise at one door in the horizon then rides a horse on a huge sand dune. Dodge in fried fish and chips. These things kids love are beach sports, indoor fun and quad bike ride. Child's mind on call. Best Family Vacation

Maputo, Beira, Pemba, and Malawi are the good place to travel for children’s, teens and adults. There always crimson sunsets into glassy oceans and still starry nights made for romance. Outdoor showers, private plunge pools and swims in warm waves seal your wedding vows in paradise. Sip expensive champagne on a beach in the middle of nowhere, just the two of you. King size beds, luxury villas and hands-on service meant for love. Grilled lobster and horse rides into the sunrise. Now you are two. Make new memories together.

The city hosts an expat running club called the Maputo Hash House Harriers.  Join them for a run or walk on Saturdays!
It is almost[i]for free! And a very good way to socialize. Soemwhat rough attitude for first timers, but hang on - its a very nice group!
You need to know what its all about.
