Bus from Cairo to Sharm- Safe and Comfortable?

Post new topic

SqualVJ

Hi! very sorry if I sound naive on this topic but I just cant seem to find much up to date information on this route option. I will be looking to head to Sharm from Cairo in April 2018.

Is there a good bus company that does this route and is this route safe?? I have read it takes 6hrs or so.
I would like to see the landscape of Egypt so I felt this would be a good way to experience some of it.

Cant wait to enjoy Egypt!
Thank you to all that do reply! :D

Try Supajet too, I travelled with them to Alex, took 11 hours, but 6 from Cairo.  Lots more police checks on the way now.  Some buses more comfortable than others.  Are you relocating to Sharm or just holiday?

I travelled from Cairo to Sharma when there was the revolution. Went by over night bus. Plenty of police checks on the way. Coming back there was a curfew in Cairo and missed the timing but had no problem. Hoping to do the trip again this month. Also doing a reccy as thinking of moving to Egypt this year.

Hi FOSVA AnneTheDonn

Where can I find more info on the superjet buses?

Hi

Just google it:

Or you can just fly down from Cairo airport.

I do airport runs in Sharm so if you're stuck at the station let me know.

Yes, I saw http://www.freedaysegypt.com/superjet.php

However, how would I book them? I didn't see any links to book online.

What are airport runs? Thanks

LOL welcome to Egypt.  Book on line? ha ha.  The go bus one you can book on line.  Depending on which bus company you use.  It's about 6 hour journey and yes it's comfortable but better to go for a luxury coach.

Airport runs, it's English speak. I mean I pick up tourists/expats from the airport and take the to their apartment or hotel and back.
