hey,

i am planning extended weekend in sharm on the last weekend of april and i am wondering what is the situation there at the moment? r there wild hordes of tourists, or is it a deserted place? or simply ok and good to visit? any changes in prices? and to get a taxi from airport do i still have to pay 100 LE?

i ll be grateful if you can let me know what happens there.

Hello

I was in sharm last week with my wife ...the drop in tourist is almost 80% ...Naima Bay is never life before but again I cant say its deserted. About prices it has become very cheap these days. I stayed in Hilton Dream Resort and paid only 70$ per night where as this room was for 350$ :D

So I would say this is the best time to enjoy a luxury  holidays and prices are down as well.

About Airport to Nayma Bay I paid 120 LE :D but u can always negotiate if you know little arabic

Hi,

I have lived in Sharm for about 18 months, I went back to England for Christmas and returned on 25th January - just my luck!! Since then Sharm went to being completly desserted. Naama Bay was like a ghost town and there was a very strabge atmosphere. Now finally things are picking up again. ALthough there are not as many tourists as usual for this time of year it is getting busier and Sharm seems to be coming back to life once again.

And Hilton Dreams is a lovely hotel - I have friends working there and they let me use their beach, was there today in fact and the sea was lovely :)

Hello magdaw!
I live in Sharm since 2010 and as other people here said Sharm was very empty the last months but slowly tourists are coming back, so is a nice time to come on vacations! The prices are some low and is more quiet :D
I hope you have a great time here! Greetings :P

I just got back from Sharm, a week spent at the Hilton Waterfall. Was fabulous, some great deals to be had - snorkeling was fantastic because there weren't any crowds!

We got a deluxe room for 60 USD per night. Was amazing!
