Looking for local assistance - Paperwork for marriage in Manila

Post new topic

Dear all,

I am 34 and from Germany. I met and found the woman of my life here in the Phillipines.
She is actually living in Cebu but friends and relatives (2nd and 3rd grade) are living in Manila. This is why we want to marry in Manila. Although online there is a lot of information available about what documents are needed I would like to hire a marriage service that can assist us in completing all legal requirements and act also as wedding planner (taking care of location and arrangements)

I would highly appreciate your recommendations!
Thanks in advance!

Hi Michael,

We married in Hong Kong (my Filipina Wife and me). You are aware of the rules by marrying in Philippines, yes? Anyway, you need NBI clearance (can be before or after marriage) if you plan on staying in the Philippines. Your girlfriend may need one as well (NBI clearance) if she wants to get a passport.

As foreigner you can only get things done in "United Nation".

Seminar may also be required. Witness are needed as well; Same as in Germany.

It much depends on wedding in church and/or civil.

Best of luck!
Mikael
