Hello guys!

I'm a hotel management student from Portugal and together with my girlfriend, we are planning to do an internship in Sofia for 3 months. Is 1000€ enough to live comfortably in Sofia?

We don't want anything fancy when it comes to accommodation, a studio is more than enough, but we do want it to be in the city center where most of the hotels are.

We don't smoke or drink and we don't like going out, but we enjoy having a meal in a restaurant from time to time.

Thank you!

kristiann

Basically - Yes. But actually all depends on how much you're spending. Breakdown of costs will look more or less like this:
1. Rent of a studio - 500 BGN;
2. Electricity and water - 150 BGN;
3. Food - 500 BGN - if you cook at home;
4. Transport - 60 BGN, for both of you;
5. Internet and TV - 40 BGN;
6. Mobile phones - 80 BGN ( for 2 people);
7. Any other costs - 670 BGN.

some of these may vary, but basically try to find inexpensive accommodation first, all the rest is easy.
