My wife employer asking her for 50 bd as he tell her he paid LMRA to get her visa with in 4 days ....can somebody help me urgent as I need to reply him ASAP.

Do we need to pay him for that

XTang

Your every post is urgent but at least in one thread this time :)

Of course, you don't have to pay it as it is not "official" LMRA fees.   LMRA will charge 90 BD for a 2 year dependent visa or 344 BD for a 2 year work visa WHEN approved.  Nothing is paid before approval and afterwards, the employer has to pay that cost.

From what you said, he has slipped some money under the counter to someone to get the visa through for your wife.   If the employer is paying some agent or whoever, money under the counter, that's between him and that party - you have nothing to do with it.

So, no, you don't have to pay anything to the employer by law.  It's his headache to get your wife a visa.  And if he is charging money to her for even that; I would worry about what he is capable off when she is employed by him.
