best area to live in Cartagena

Hello all,

I will be shifting to Cartagena next month and would like to know the best area to live in Cartagena. I am looking for a good living area for the family with better security and all the necessary things available at walk-able distance. Also, if any one of you could help me the rates for such a locality.

I own an apartment in EL Laguito section of Cartagena. "Best" is hard to define depending on what in your mind is "best". For me having a place on the ocean with a direct ocean view was # 1. Also a safe location and El Laguito ticked off both boxes. You have to take a taxi to the supermarket, you are not in walking distance but your talking a $2 taxi ride. I also like it because it is quieter than the bustling Boca Grande and Historic sections.
