TOURIST VISA APPLICATION FOR FILIPINO COMING TO UK

Post new topic

Hello, I am Steve from the UK and I am looking to bring a friend of mine over from Phils to here, using a tourist visa. I have been up and down the internet trying to figure out how to go about it, who to contact (here in the UK or Phils), and what to supply as documentation. Leizel (on the Phils side) has already handed in my invitation letter to the relevant department in Manila and has an appointment in a month's time.

I have quite a few questions, is this a site to help me? I confess I haven't looked through the site so any pointers would be appreciated. I am single here, have my own flat and my family is close by. Leizel has a child who will be looked after while she is here. What evidence should I supply and what should she supply?

She works in a restaurant, doesn't have a bank account and has very little to her name. I will fund her trip and give accommodation. I understand she has to take documentation supplied by me in to her appointment?

Is it a fairly successful procedure most of the time? Is this the correct site to ask for advice?

I really appreciate any answers that can be given here.

Many many thanks

You have to convince, no, SHE has to convince the authorities that she has such strong financial links to the Ppns that she will definitely return. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it’s hard. How many times have you met?

Thanks for the reply. She doesn't have much at all.

I've only met her a few times. What I liked about her was her quiet, unassuming and non confident manner. Been to Thailand many times and wary of females and meal tickets. She is an honest simple girl, just what I'm after really. I've told her to get reference letters from her sons school and from work.

What is the purpose of her visit? For what duration?
