Any way to work remotely in the UK?

Post new topic

Guest123089

My wife and I were hoping to live in London for 6 months. I am a US citizen, who works remotely for a US company. From everything I have read, we don't need a visa in order to stay for less than 6 months, but I would not be allowed to work during that time, even for my own US company. Has anyone found any alternative ways to approach this?

I apologize if this has been asked before. I did try searching, but did not come across anything that looked relevant.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Shouldn't be a problem; the rules allow you to do this; you need to apply for a routine visitor visa.  This link will take you to the UK Gov website that has the details.

Check out specifically "VISITORS APPENDIX 3. PERMITTED ACTIVITIES FOR ALL VISITORS"

Hope this helps.
