Looking for Large Carpets

Hi, just moved here from the States, and I'm looking for a few large carpets (like 4/5m by 4/5m) to cover our tile floors so the little ones can run about and not worry about knocked heads.  Any ideas on where I can get them would be greatly appreciated!

I know of carpet shops in Jakarta but not in Surabaya. Hopefully someone from there will answer.

Better to buy carpets in Surabaya rather than in Jakarta. There are several carpet shops in some of the larger malls here.

I noticed a couple when I was in Surabaya last week. One was Al Hijaz Carpet - looked very good but they seem to specialise in carpets for mosques.
The other, and the name is worth checking because I was only there for a couple of minutes, was Caption (or maybe captain) carpet solutions. They seemed to have a pretty good select of stuff but, as I was there such a short time, I can't actually recommend them.
One other note, every town has a lot of carpet shops so it's worth asking around locally for suggestions, but beware - a man will always recommend his friend's/brother's/ wife's uncle's business, then send you there where they'll add a commission for the man you asked.

Shop around for best price and buy from the shop with the man you trust.

Oh, and forget the malls - high rents generally mean the places have to charge higher prices. Not always true but a rule of thumb.

I have a 3m x 4m Persian rug that I might be interested in selling. Are you looking for inexpensive rugs or do you want more expensive and antique quality rugs?

Hey Rob,
