Hello,

School holidays are fun for the kids, but parents often struggle to find ways to entertain them when they have just moved to a new country. Share with us some information about keeping the family busy during that time of the year.

What are some of the favourite activities in Dominican Republic that families can enjoy together?

What types of activities are more popular (indoors, outdoors) for toddlers, young children, and teenagers?

How do you balance work in Dominican Republic while the children are on holiday?

Are there any resources such as youth centres or expat children communities, that offer activities for children during the holidays?

How do you plan your holidays with the family in Dominican Republic?

Tell us about your best family adventure in in Dominican Republic? Is there a bucket list of must-do activities? What are they?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Priscilla

First thing to note is that school holiday is almost over. They go back around the middle of August here. So this might be helpful for the last 2 weeks of vaca.

Note - stay out of the stores as much as possible for the next two pay cycles.  It will be ridiculous with all those parents trying to find the best  supplies at the cheapest prices.  Going back to school is expensive for most people here.  AND if you can help, then do so.  I personally sponsor a few children with their back to school supplies.

We live in paradise there is no lack of things for kids and families to do here.  Unlike many countries kids here go outside to play! ITs awesome.  Take away the phone and gaming system and the TV, send them outside!

That is my little rant for today......LOL
