Greetings to all, I am a Filipina I have been interviewed and accepted as a secretary in Oman, my medical certificate was sent last May 2018 , till now I do not received any visa and contract from my employer. At first he said that the clearance has not been released yet, then the last update was we hope your visa will cone out soon which was a week ago. I asked if he can provide me with the visa application number but he didnt. Just want to ask, why it took so long for this process? Is this really how long the concern department in Oman evaluate? How long do I have to wait more?
I hope someone can help me. Thank you all

Hi Minetec,

All secretarial positions have long been Omanised. I am not sure if your would-be employer / sponsor is applying for your job under some other category which is not Omanised.

Delays like this are very common. If you would read the other posts and discussions on the forum on the same subject you will understand all about the hows and the whys of the delays.
