Holiday money, time?

I'm leaving Denmark in 2 months, and I have a full month of vacations that I want to claim, I went to the site for that, there are a couple of form dates that I'm unsure of how to fill, I've contacted my company to help me with that.

What I can't find is how much time it takes them to transfer the money, it mentions in a popup something about up to 6 months, hope that's not the case :).

If anyone knows about it, would be nice to hear.

Thanks.

We'll have to distinguish between the holiday allowance which you have earned in 2017 and the holiday allowance you have earned during 2018.

The 2017-holiday allowance should be paid out a few days after that you have claimed it provided that you holiday.
https://international.kk.dk/artikel/wha … oliday-payhttps://lifeindenmark.borger.dk/Living- … -allowance

If you get your normal pay until you leave Denmark, you don't have to holiday, but can bring your savings with you when you leave.

Regarding the 2018-earned holiday allowance, you'll be entitled to withdraw your savings when you leave the country.

How to do it practically, depends on where your savings are administered. If it is Feriefondenf/eriepengeinfo, you shall use borger.dk and your holiday allowance will automatically be deposited on your NEM-account.

If your savings are administered by Arbejdsmarkedets Centrale Ferieregister (ACF), you'll claim your money not later than 6 months after you have left the company.

I have never heard/experienced that it should take up to 6 months to get your own money. I cannot imagine that there should be special rules for expats leaving the country. You're not confusing the information with If your savings are administered by Arbejdsmarkedets Centrale Ferieregister (ACF), you'll claim your money not later than 6 months after you have left the company?

Nellie thanks a lot for your help, I probably misread that 30 days part, sometimes google translate makes some mistakes when translating from Danish and the meaning gets lost.

In any case, I went there and there are some things I don't know how to fill, I contacted my ex-work but I got no response, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try to get an answer here:

I'm attaching 2 pictures showing what I don't know how to fill:

In the first one I actually don't know if I should choose the first option or the second one, I thought that since I was leaving the country I should choose the one that said "leaving Danish labor market" or something like that, but then it asks me for a date, no idea what to put there.

In the second picture it asks me for a "forste feriedag" date, again, no clue what should I put there.

The holiday money corresponds to what I gathered in 2017, I was going to spend those days starting May this year, but yeah, lost my job.

Thanks a lot.

Første feriedag (you can just choose a random date as long as you aren't working).

Regarding your other question: If you already know when you'll leave the country, you could start deregister on borger.dk, and then fill out the scheme regarding your holiday allowance.

If you want to be 100 % sure that you do things correctly, you could either use the chat function here:

or contact borger.dk

They can share the screen with you if you want them to.

or meet up at

Yeah, indeed there is a lot to take care of not even at arrivival, but also at departure.

PS: By the way, I thought you would have given Denmark another chance.

LittlePenguin22

Nellie, thanks, I will do that.

I like this place and I will comeback once I finish with a project I want to base a company on.

Truth is, I was planning on starting a new company here but I didn't have the time to properly finish what I'm working on. So I'm going back to my country, dedicate the time it requires, then see if I can get started here.

Good luck with your plans!

Hi, after some time of filling the required procedure I still can't see the money in the account, and when I check it out in the site I see this:

https://imgur.com/a/kdVQcgw

It says "holiday money held" or something like that as cause, not sure what that means, if its normal or not, any ideas what could be that status?.

Thanks.

According to some ex-colleague looks like the problem was that the date I put there 1/1/2019 is the date I will get the money.

I hope I can change that.. will try talking with them.

Nellie Berg

Your ex-colleague is right. The earliest time to get tour holiday allowance out of the system is one month before you holiday.

I am sorry that I didn't mention that to you, but I imagined you would choose a date before leaving.

I am quite sure that it will be no problem to correct the date, but I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

It's ok no worries, however I can't find a way to edit it, when I go through the process again it says that I don't have any allowance left, or something like that.

Should I talk to them directly maybe?.

Nellie Berg
