Vaccinations in Mauritius - Schools

Post new topic

Francoise_G

Hello,

Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction? I have heard that Mauritian schools require children's vaccination schedules.

I'm not sure if SA's vaccinations schedules (in terms of which vaccinations are administered) are the same as in Mauritius and would like to compare.

I've done a few Google searches but can't seem to find anything valid.

Does anyone have any further information?

Hello,

I would recommend you check with the school that your child will be attending.

A local pediatrician will also be of great help.

Thanks Winston.

Hi Francoise.

Pre-primary schools (public and private) normally require vaccination records upon enrollment, administratively speaking.

Public primary schools do not require same. However, they usually give a vaccination at grade 1 (6 years old).

Private schools have their own policies I suspect. As Winston pointed out, better check with your specific school.

No legal requirements as such.
