30% Rulling having studied 9months in Brussels

Dear community,

I am Portuguese and I have studied 9 months in Brussels (from 10-2017 to 06-2018) doing a research Master.
From the 24monts and 150km rule, it seems I am not eligible for the 30% tax rule.
My questions: Is the 150km rule still valid, considering that I was in Brussels just to study?

Thank you very much!

There are some exceptions for students, my advice is to get your new employer to check with the Belastingdienst to see if you qualify.

Dear Cynic,

Thank you very much for your feedback.
It would be very nice if I would qualify. Moreover, I gained no advantage of being in Brussels studying for 9 months, so I really don't get why the criteria is applied to foreign students.
Have a nice night.
