Kuwait airport

Arrival

The airport is fairly small.
When you arrive you usually first have to go and get your Visa.
Take a number & a form to fill out (you get them at the desk), have you 6 KD ready and if you are lucky, all will go fast.
To get your luggage you gotta go downstairs again, if you have a lot of luggage let one of the "Little blue men" help you.
They don't cost more than 500 Fils (approx. $ 1,75) and they help you get a Taxi.
They might try to help out a friend and lead you to an unmarked Taxi.
They usually are cheaper, but you'll not be insured or anything in case of an accident (not that that will help you anyway).
The official Taxis don't use a meter, but they have the prices on a price chart. Max. cost should be 8 KD (unless you need to go to the Saudi border, that might be more ;).

Departure

You get all kinds of stuff at the airport.
Before you Check-In and after Check-In.
But once behind the gate, one thing you don't get is a newspaper.
So, before you do the luggage thing and all that, if you want to read anything, get it.

Hi Nicole,

This is great info. I wish I had known when I came here 1st as I was lost for almost 1/2 an hour as did not find any instructions on how to get visa at the airport.

Good thinking!
