Extend visa tourist for Iraq citizen

Halo everyone,

I need your help. I have friend from Iraq and he wants to apply master degree in UTM, but he need to pass IELTS. Before he pass IELTS he need time to handle all the document for register the university. And he wants to take IELTS in KL. But if he visit KL to take IELTS exam he just get permit for tourist (30 days), and he need more than 30 days for prepare everything. I want to asking, is it possible to extend the visa?before he took english course in KL. And how to get extend the visa?
And what is the doc need?

He won't be able to extend, his best option is to leave Malaysia to any nearby country for 4-5 days then reenter Malaysia again.

go to immigration putrajaya or jalan duta with a booking return air ticket and fill a extension form and same day he can get extension for 1 month
