Settling in Thailand

Hello everyone,

I'm plannig to move in Thailand to live a life-changing experience.  I'm italian and I'm currently living and working in Italy.

Since I can keep my job (I work as IT consultant 100% from home) which kind of VISA should I apply for to get the permission to stay in Thailand for a period of 6-12 months?

Thank you

JOHNMELL

You could get a 60 day tourist visa from a thai consulate in Italy, which can be extended  by 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand. Then get another one from Laos, or another nearby country, and extend that again in Thailand.

There is also a multiple entry visa which is valid for 6 months from a thai consulate in Italy.

All the details are on their websites.

Not a good idea though to advertise you will be working.

How many days does the METV allow you to stay in TH after you enter/reenter the country?
