Does anyone know if the Transfagarasan Road is open, or will be by late May?
I'll be in Romania for about 2 weeks beginning May 24th and would like to drive it.

Also, any general do's/dont's/must-sees about Romania in general are appreciated

shut at the top till 1st still get fair wat up coming from Sibiu in the north.

Now this is something the wife and i must do, drive this road in August. Might have to rent a better car for the experience though, our crappy escort estate is hardly worthy of such a road.

That is providing it is possible to rent something here other than a Dacia
