Student pass Rejected

Post new topic

Shin D

Hi, I have been following up with the old dated queries on this forum and I believe I have caught up with every single one of them.

my issue here is recently I was graduated with Bachelor of IT from JCU and decided to continue my studies at SIM in Diploma in management.(note- I never took Diploma of IT, I jumped straight to Bachelor Of IT).

Both My STP application and appeal letter is rejected within a month.

I have been keeping in contact with school and trying to get advised what to carry on.

As ICA did not reveal the reason, I came up with a few assumptions, 1.taking diploma course after graduating bachelor 2.have been staying with visit pass till now(legally) otherwise I could not think of any reasons

I forgot to mention that I submit the STP after receiving offer letter. The intake will start in 2nd Oct 2023.

I would truely appreciate any advise given.

@beppi do u think it matters to authorities if your salary is close to 6000$? say 5,600$

beppi

@expat489 Not fora student pass (which this thread is about), because you cannot work in Singapore as a foreign student, thus you'd have no income.

@beppi

I mean if parent salary is close to $6000 (like $5600)

Would it possibly get approval for student pass for kindergarten student?

beppi

@expat489 Student passes for kindergarten "students" are rarely given, as kindergarten is not seen as full-time studies. And if, like probably in your case, the parents try to (ab-)use it to circumvent the DP income theshold, it is sure to be rejected.

I recommend you do not try!
