As long as you're taking Islam for the right reasons, there's nothing wrong with what you're doing and I wish you all the best. Converting/reverting is easy, simply go to a mosque, declare your intent, and say the declaration of faith.

Support afterwards depends entirely on what you need as you'll find plenty of willing people.
There is a slight possible issue - many people hate Islam for their own reasons so you might well find yourself alienated from people around you at the moment - just be prepared for possible rejection by narrower minded people.
