I started this because information shared here would be very useful  to many expats moving to PNG.
Can someone help me in suggesting a good internet plan and provider. I know most would suggest Digicel 3G/4G network.
I am particularly interested in Mt Hagen.
Can some post their speed test results ( https://www.speedtest.net/ )

Hi @krisoz
Internet network speed comes with real troubles most of time, esp. at POM where I live. Despite their claim of 4G, most often I get 3G only. So mostly it depends on where you live, but overall its bad. Sometimes i suffer even streaming YouTube at <320p

Regarding Internet, am not sure, if broadband is available in that area of yours. But if you compare end to end Data Pack Plans between major network providers, Telikom PNG is far cheaper & with Flexible Data Plans, then Digicel.

For e.g.
1GB data valid for 7days in digicel would cost you K30, whereas in Telicom just K9. Even you can take 1GB data valid for 14 days in Telikom network costing you K15, which is unavailable with Digicel.

Similarly, 5GB data with validity of 30days would cost you K130 whereas with Telicom its just K90.

I guess, that would give you some idea.

Best wishes
