PR Visa - Partner skill assesment (Engineers Australia)

Hi All

I am Kishore working in Sydney in an IT firm via work permit. I am looking to apply for a permanent resident visa along with my family.

I was going through the points calculator and understood that spouse can also provide you additional 5 points if they qualify below.

1. was under 45 years old --> OK
2. had competent English --> OK
3. had nominated a skilled occupation that is on the same skilled occupation list as your nominated skilled occupation --> ????

Since I hail from IT background, I had my education and experience assessed with ACS (Australian Computer Society) positively. My spouse had completed Bachelors in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and have no experience.

Question is, can my wife get assessed positively with Engineers Australia even though she is not having prior experience? If assessed positively, is it possible to claim under point 3 (above) to nominate for the skilled occupation to claim additional points?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
