YAMAHA's marketing pitch in thanh Hoa City

Hooliganism as corporate message? Amazing Vietnam!

They had a rider red-line a MT-09 (or 07 or 210) with an illegal exhaust. Appealing to the crown which enjoys burnouts.

Then they wasted big bucks on flame throwers during the bright day. At twilight, this would be spectacular.

They gave like 88 people their shirts and had joung lads mill around. At other grand openings, they do this, too. Pay students to wear the company shirt for a day. Not sure if this is a wise investment  :unsure

Okay, the Exciter 150  is a nice small bike with a powerful engine and good breaks. Handling well.

The sales staff must have been mistaken when they said a new SIRIUS step-through (copy of a Honda Wave) would only cost "20,000.000 d". I don't believe it. But if that's true, I will buy one soon.
"With documents, on the road" the girl assured me.

But then the teller at my bank triggered trouble by falsely reporting the balance of my account. Forgetting a few million. Seems to be the same case here. So they have a big presentation and cannot say how much the bikes actually cost, big or small.

Poorly trained staff there for a day - See it all too much from a lot of companies.
It's easy for the companies to solve by given their sales promo people leaflets with price lists and breakdowns of credit terms.
Armed with that and some very basic info such as delivery times, even a dumbo half hiding the pair of sweet curved reasons she got the job in a borrowed T shirt can get it right

That was the pro "sales team" and it was not like they couldn't all speak no English. Amazing! So the company sells about a dozen bikes. I would learn the specs, prices, finance terms and OTR costs by heart or have a printout at hand to look it up.

Communication is a big weakness. Not wanting to diss the people, my Vietnamese is non-existing.

* At the hospital, I have been visiting someone daily. Waited and asked and it turns out that she has been discharged!

* Then I handed over a 200,000 Dong banknote to pay for 100 k credit to my Vinaphone account. 200 k were credited. (Am glad I hadn't paid with a 500 k banknote).

What they did was reinforce all the bias elderly people have against bikers. Extreme noise, risk taking, etc. And the exhausts can't be legal  :/  (Actually, the flow of exhaust gases is not that simple. Removing mufflers won't produce more hp.
